I’m a DofE participant. Can I count the DofE Diamond Challenge towards my DofE Award?

Yes! You can count your Diamond Challenge towards your DofE Award. As long as it still fits within the requirements and time frame of your DofE Award.

You will still need to have it approved by your DofE Leader.

Make sure the activity you choose for the Challenge is impressive enough for your friends and family to sponsor you! This might mean it is ‘above and beyond’ what you are doing for your DofE Award.

Can I enter as a team?

We know that many Challengers will want to do something with their friends and family and we actively encourage this.

Each team member must register separately for the DofE Diamond Challenge on our Challenge website. Once you have all registered, you can follow our guide to create a team on the JustGiving website.

Each member of the team will need to raise a minimum of £60 individually to receive their Diamond Challenge pin and certificate. For example, if you have a team of 4, your collective fundraising target will be £240 (4 x £60). Individuals will be eligible to receive a pin and certificate once their individual fundraising target is met.

Do I need to know what my challenge will be when I sign up?

You don’t need to know what your challenge is before you register. If you need some ideas, check out our Challengers page as well to see what others are taking on. Remember, big or small, as long as it's a challenge to you, it counts!

Once you have decided, be sure to update your JustGiving page so your friends and family know your plans.

I don’t know or would like to change my completion date.

If you don't know your completion date when you register or would like to change the date you originally put, you can change it here.

It's important we know when your challenge is set to finish so we can send you your pin and certificate.

The website only lets me enter my challenge date in 2016

We have now extended the challenge to 31st March 2017. If your challenge is taking place in 2017, please leave the challenge date blank on the registration form.

This will not affect your challenge registration, or claiming your Diamond pin.

I want to update my JustGiving page

To update your JustGiving page, please login via the JustGiving website. Then follow our handy guide to update and personalise your fundraising page.

My t-shirt is the wrong size, can I have a new one?

Unfortunately, we are not able to replace t-shirts once they have been posted to you.

Please use the sizing chart provided during registration to make sure that you have ordered the correct size.

Can I do more than one challenge?

Yes – we would love for you to do more than one challenge! Once you have completed your first challenge we will send you a registration code that will allow you to register your second challenge for free. As you will have already received a Challenger T-shirt for your first challenge, we will not send you a second t-shirt. However, you will receive a pin and certificate.

I live outside of the UK, can I take part?

Yes, everyone is welcome to take part in the DofE Diamond Challenge. Please be aware that due to the order and fulfilment process, your Challenger Kit may take more than 21 days to arrive.

I want to make a complaint about the DofE Diamond Challenge

We’re eager to hear your feedback, both compliments and complaints, so please let us know by emailing us.

I’ve finished my challenge – what now?

Congratulations on finishing your challenge! As long as you have raised a minimum of £60 on your JustGiving page, you'll be able to select your DofE Diamond Challenge pin. To let us know your Challenge is complete and choose your pin please click here.

Why not treat yourself to the limited edition Diamond Challenge Hoodie so you can remember your challenge long after you’ve completed it!

If you are having trouble completing, please email [email protected] with the problem you are experiencing. Please also include the website address of your JustGiving fundraising page.

I’ve raised funds offline, either in cash or by cheque. What do I do?

Funds raised offline can count towards your DofE Diamond Challenge fundraising target – all you need to do is record this manually as an offline donation on JustGiving (click for more information)

If you are sending in a cheque, please make it out to The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and post to:
Attn: Anna Skipworth
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
11 Belgrave Road
London SW1V 1RB

Please include the Challenger's name and address with the cheque so we know which Challenger to credit it to. Then email us at [email protected] and let us know that the cheque is on its way.

I’m not happy with my pin, can I change it?

Unfortunately we are unable to exchange pins after they have been posted.

Please ensure you are happy with your pin selection before submitting your request.

Please note there are two pin options - the Classic and the Diamond pin

I have reached the £60 on JustGiving, how do I send this to you?

JustGiving sends this money to the DofE directly, on a weekly basis, so you don't need to do anything. You’re all set to complete the challenge - click here to claim your pin. Your page will automatically close after the 31st of March.
